Based in San Diego, we are looking for a Web Project Manager with an exceptional track record; who also craves a job with meaning and creating positive change in the world. The successful candidate will oversee web-based design and application development from concept through launch using structured project management methodology. They will lead full-cycle project management efforts including: gathering requirements, developing specifications, resource planning, schedule creation, participation in design, testing, maintenance and creation of documentation. In addition, resources will be structured and teams coordinated consisting of developers/designers/engineers with both internal resources and with external contractors.

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of projects, from the initial request to the project’s completion.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Motivate and lead project teams to ensure that all systems are developed on time, within budget, and beyond client expectations
• Identify clients’ active needs, produce design requirements, and directly “translate” the key deliverables for internal and external clients.
• Develop the project concept and plan, facilitating project meetings, adherence to quality standards and budget, manage internal and external resources, review of project deliverables, change control, and status reporting.
• Provide single point-of-contact support for all parties—clients, management, and project staff—throughout the entire project life-cycle.
• Lead Greenest Marketing’s design and development team as it engages with the client; responsible for client’s overall satisfaction
• Oversee strategic activities on client business while providing guidance on tactical assignments
• Align the SOW with client’s expectations; set overall goals and timing
• Assist in developing and managing staffing plan to ensure appropriate resource allocation and utilization on client business
• Management of multiple projects and people
• Responsible for all reports and analysis regarding design production process and efficiency opportunities; point of contact with client on the evaluation of GREENEST MARKETING’s role and performance
• Oversee and approve all Statements of Work in portfolio
• Deliver on monthly reporting to company management and lead weekly client deliverables reporting
• Administer and guide the company’s client satisfaction process, ensuring quality improvement plans are developed and executed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be detail oriented and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple task contracts and/or subcontracts of various types and complexity.

Must possess strong skills in facilitation management, team leadership, planning, and problem solving.

Proficiency with MS Office and Basecamp (or other web-based project management tools.) Basic Photoshop/Dreamweaver/Illustrator/Flash knowledge and familiarity with Mac OS X a plus.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure on multiple projects in a dynamic, growing start-up environment required

Strong, yet diplomatic communication skills; verbally, in writing and through presentations with all facets of the company’s staff and current/potential constituency required

Business needs analysis, website design and creative process knowledge is required

Knowledge of open-sourced development environments including: Linux, Unix, Apache, MySQL, Postgres, PHP, JAVA, AJAX, and/or Ruby preferred.

Certification in Project Management such as PMP preferred

A passion for environmental business, health, and sustainability are a must.

EDUCATION:

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science or information systems with a minimum of 3 years experience managing software development projects from inception to deployment or eCommerce project management experience

OR

A minimum of 5 years experience working in a technical web development or eCommerce project management role.
